CHUCK HAGEL TO GIVE ALPHA SIGMA NU LECTURE AT CREIGHTON
Fr. Kelley, S.J., Lecture to be given United States Sen. Chuck Hagel at 5:45 p.m., Friday, March 31, in the Creighton School of Law Gross Appellate Court Room.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with the lecture scheduled to begin at 5:45. A question-and-answer session will follow the lecture, which is free and open to the public.
Hagel is Nebraska’s senior U.S. senator and is serving his second term in the United States Senate. He received an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Creighton University’s School of Law and was named the Omaha World-Herald’s 2005″Midlander of the Year.”
Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society, which focuses on scholarship, loyalty and service, was established at Marquette University in 1915. There are 32 Jesuit colleges and universities throughout the United States with Alpha Sigma Nu chapters, including Creighton’s, which began in 1921.

S. Res. 398 A resolution relating to the censure of George W. Bush. This is what got me all in a hissy fit this morning. It is a simple bill with simple wording, and some of the democrats said they didn’t get a chance to read the bill. Well get off your lazy ass and read it, that is what the representive government is for. Feingold Draws Little Support for Censure Feingold is a democrat which is really intresting, because you think people in his party would support him. But no the Politics of this bill is way to touchy to them. He deserves to be censured, some American People have done it already.

I Haven’t given up yet, congress was in recess. But they are back and my eye is open.
Today the Senate is putting the Port sale issue to the coals. I say block it Senator Nelson, and Senator Hagel. I finally remembered their names without looking them up, YEAH!!
S.R. Res. 32 A joint resolution disapproving the results of the review conducted by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) into the purchase of Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation (P&O) by Dubai Ports World (DP World).
S. 2333 A bill to require an investigation under the Defense Production Act of1950 of the acquisition by Dubai Ports World of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, and for other purposes.
S. 1052 A bill to improve transportation security, and for other purposes. This bill is of upmost important, especially because of the port sale. It was introduced May 17, 2005. I will be writing letter for this one.
