I Haven’t given up yet, congress was in recess. But they are back and my eye is open.
Today the Senate is putting the Port sale issue to the coals. I say block it Senator Nelson, and Senator Hagel. I finally remembered their names without looking them up, YEAH!!
S.R. Res. 32 A joint resolution disapproving the results of the review conducted by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) into the purchase of Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation (P&O) by Dubai Ports World (DP World).
S. 2333 A bill to require an investigation under the Defense Production Act of1950 of the acquisition by Dubai Ports World of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, and for other purposes.
S. 1052 A bill to improve transportation security, and for other purposes. This bill is of upmost important, especially because of the port sale. It was introduced May 17, 2005. I will be writing letter for this one.
