Got My Eye On You #17

H. Res. 643 Directing the Attorney General to submit to the House of Representatives all documents in the possession of the Attorney General relating to warrant less electronic surveillance of telephone conversations and electronic communications of persons in the United States conducted by the National Security Agency. This is up for a vote, should be juicy 🙂 This bill was introduced 12/22/05, before I started watching, or I would have posted about it. Lee Terry did not sponsor this bill, it looks mostly like the Democrats did. Surprised it made it out of committee.

H. Res. 644 is also up for a vote. I will be writing Lee Terry about both of these Bills.

H. Res. 707 Condemning the Government of Iran’s offer of assistance to Hamas, a known terrorist organization which currently controls the Palestinian Authority, and its call for other Arab nations to do the same, and the anti-Israeli and anti-American statements of the leaders of Iran. If this makes it out of committee, I will be telling/asking Lee Terry Not to Vote For Is it okay to tell someone not to vote for a bill vs. Asking.

H. Res. 709 Amending the Rules of the House of Representatives to ensure that Members have a reasonable amount of time to read legislation that will be voted upon. is just about the operation of the HOR.

H. J. Res. 80 proposing an amendment the Constitution of the United States limiting the number of consecutive terms that a Senator or Representative may serve and providing for 4-year terms for Representatives. This is really interesting, a constitutional amendment. I would have to say this must fell. the HOR is the chamber for the budgeting process. They limited them to two terms, so there would not be so much political partisan. IF it makes it out of committee, another letter going to DC.

H. R. 4860 To reduce and prevent childhood obesity by encouraging schools and school districts to develop and implement local, school-based programs designed to reduce and prevent childhood obesity, promote increased physical activity, and improve nutritional choices. Not a bad Idea!

H.R. 4865 Requiring reading of the U.S. Constitution of congressional staff.

S. Res. 387 A resolution recognizing the need to replace the United Nations Human Rights Commission with a new Human Rights Council. Sticking our nose in international business, out of committee, a letter will be off.

Lee Terry had 3 Votes this week. Aye on H.R. 1096, H.R. 1259, H. Res. 357. He was Absent on H. Res. 668, have to find out where he was on that?
2/28 Authorizing the President to Award a Congressional Gold Medal to The Tuskegee Airmen: WHO ARE THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN?

Chuck Hagel Voted Aye on S. 2271: USA PATRIOT Act Additional Reauthorizing Amendments Act of 2006 I have already said my piece on this.
Ben Nelson Voted Aye on S. 2271
Neither Senator Gave Speeches. Although on 2/13 Principles of Telecom Reform, and 2/7 Honoring the Service of The National Guard, Chuck Hagel gave speeches

    1. Re: Tuskegee Airmen

Thanks Mister/Misses 207.200.116.202. I know who the Tuskegee Airmen are. That was the title of Representive Terry’s speech. Thanks for reading my journal.
