Dixie Chicks coming to my City

The Dixie Chicks are coming to Omaha on September 23rd. Anybody want to come with me?

After several years off the road, Dixie Chicks are about to fly with aNorth American tour starting July 21 in Detroit and concluding Nov. 11in Tacoma, Wash. Tickets for the Accidents & Accusations tour go onsale over the first two weeks in

June. The tour title comes from a line in the song, “Easy Silence,” from their album, Taking the Long Way, which will be released Tuesday (May 23).

Leadsinger Natalie Maines describes the show as “more of an old-style rockshow … not so much about theatrics and props but just about themusic.” She also notes, “To rock out, we used to have to pull out acover tune, so it’s nice to have your own songs to fill that part ofthe set.”

As previously reported, the Chicks will perform a June 15 concert atShepherd’s Bush Empire in London, where Maines uttered the infamousremark about President Bush in 2003. They’ll also join the Eagles for aJune 17 show at Twickenham Stadium in London.
