The would-be robber had a black glove scrunched into the shape of a handgun. The gas-station clerk had a screwdriver.
Screwdriver 1, Glove 0.
La Mesa police said a man wearing a black bandana across his face entered the Shell station on Lake Murray Boulevard near Wisconsin Avenue at about 3 a.m. Saturday, pointed his simulated gun at the clerk and demanded money.
When the clerk noticed it wasn’t really a gun, he pulled out the screwdriver and told the man to leave. He did.
The suspect was last seen driving north on Lake Murray Boulevard in a dark-colored, early 1990s, four-door Nissan or Honda car. He was described as a white male, early 20s, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with blue or green eyes.
In addition to the bandana, he was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black-and-white shoes.
Loser, I also don’t get it why they give a description of the clothes more than 8.50 hours later. There is NO WAY he could have went and changed.
