After a slow descent, the man was finally back on the ground by about 9:15 p.m. He was taken away in a police car.
One witness, who had been drinking, said he knew the man and suggested he may have attempted the climb on a dare.
Apparentlyit was really important to that reporter to mention what the witness had been doing.
