Product does not pass the Qualtiy Test.

Last year I bought a potato masher from Family Dollar.  It lasted a total of one mashing.  NOT A VERY GOOD PRODUCT, so today I buy oen from No Frills.  ‘Profreshionals potato masher by good cook’; I was just about to take a picture of it, and blog.  The masher has a resin handle, and I thought the masher would be inbedded deep into the handle.  Well I pull on the handle, and the mashing part, and all of a sudden I have two potato masher.  I am taking that $4.49 potato masher back to No Frills, and getting my money back.  Hopefully chefmate has a good masher.

  1. Had a similar experience with kitchen shears two weeks ago. Used it for the very first time to cut up some chicken wings. Half-way through the 7th or 8th wing, the handle fell apart. Oh well, I only paid $3.00 for it at the Offutt commissary. I’ll order the Messermeister from cutleryandmore.com for $15.95, because: A) it’s cheap; B) recommended by America’s Test Kitchen; C) it’s fun to say “Messermeister”.

    1. Chefmate does have one.

But you have to order it online, so it will take a couple days to get her. Have fun with your Messermeister.

I like to do it manual. I am going to Le Gourmet Chef and busting some potato heads with a nice expensive masher.
