New Bills Introduced

H. Con. Res. 358 Amending the Rules of the House of Representatives and the StandingRules of the Senate to require the full payment and disclosure ofcharter flights provided to Members of Congress.
H. Res. 728 Amending the Rules of the House of Representatives to requirepreapproval of privately-funded travel and the inclusion of such travelinformation on the public website of the Office of the Clerk of theHouse of Representatives, and for other purposes.
H. R. 4967 To amend the Ethics in Government Act of 1978 and the Rules of theHouse of Representatives to strengthen financial disclosures and torequire precertification of privately-funded travel, and for otherpurposes.

This subject had several bills introduced about it. Providing clarity on our representives actions.

H. R. 4964 To prohibit Federal agencies from obligating funds for earmarks included only in congressional reports, and for other purposes. I am not exately sure what this means, but it sounds good.

H. R. 4970 To ensure general aviation aircraft access to Federal land and to the airspace over Federal land. This is important, because they could spread the no fly zone to any federal space like it is over/surrounding Washington

H. Amdt. 701 to H. R. 4939(Fiance Bill) An amendment to strike section 3011 of the bill. Section 3011 prohibitsuse of funds to take any action to approve or otherwise allow theacquisition of any leases, contracts, rights, or any other obligationsof P&O Ports by Dubai Ports World or any other legal entityaffiliated with or controlled by Dubai Ports World. Oh hell now, wha tthis says to me is that Rep Gilchrest wanted to use funds to approve or othewise allow. It failed the House.

H. R. 4968 To provide for the expeditious disclosure of records relevant to the life and death of Tupac Amaru Shakur. Tupac is the guy who had thuglife tattooed on his chest. People like that usually don’t die of old age, don’t waste my tax money anymore.

Congress was busy today. There were 161 recorded acts of congress yesterday. Most of them were admendments to Budgetary process. whew.
