Quotes from the World for Monday 03/26/MMXII

The keynote of American civilization is a sort of warm-hearted vulgarity. The Americans have none of the irony of the English, none of their cool poise, none of their manner. But they do have friendliness. Where an Englishman would give you his card, an American would very likely give you his shirt.

Raymond Chandler
Raymond Chandler (1888–1959), U.S. author. “Beginning of an Essay,” The Notebooks of Raymond Chandler (1976).

Sunday is a day of work

Good Morning,

I planned to walk Sunday, I don’t deviate from the plan. Although it took a really long time to get those items printed.

Today is Monday 03/26/V3.2 & it is a magnificent day. What are you going to do to make it that way?

Well I was up from 03.00 to a little bit south of 05.00. I then got back up on the south side of 09.00. I do what I want with a smile on my face. I’m pretty sure that I smile in my sleep.

The word of the day is catechize which is to question closely. You should always be catechize.

Well I have a lunch meeting at some place near 108th & Center. I also have to go to work today, I normally have Monday off. But on Saturday 03/31/V3.2 I have a meeting in Norfolk, NE. So I won’t be able to work at my real job that day, I’ll just be working at my other job. As I’ve said before, my next day off will be Thursday 05/17/V3.2.

I gotta get some breakfast in me, so I can do what I need to do.

Thanks for reading.

The truth about Dogs & Cats

Me & James were out campaigning for a great guy today.

There was a new puppy who was running around Jim & peeing. I laughed ALOT!

Then as we are a leaving a cat crosses the street, lays down & acts like it wanted to be petted. I was like, did the cat REALLY just do that. I didn’t pet the cat, it got up & walked away.

The happiest excitement in life is to be convinced that one is fighting for all one is worth on behalf of some clearly seen and deeply felt good, and against some greatly scorned evil.
