Well the Fraud Position at First Data starts on Monday 03/12/V3.2. Yes that is in about III days.
According to First Data guidelines of employment if you start in a position, you can’t go to another position for VI months.
That puts me in a position where I decided to go the fraud route or wait until they make a decision on the IT Ops Technician.
Now I want the IT Ops Technician position, so that’s not a tough decision between those two position.
Keep in mind that I’m running for Legislative District 9 & that if I accept the IT Ops Technician position, I will suspend my campaign. I wouldn’t feel right, having time & money invested in 9+ months of training only to leave at the beginning of January. I don’t feel that same way about the Fraud Position as it is an anyone who can read & speak English can do this job.
So if I decided to NOT take the job the current consequence is giving up that guaranteed income. I can live off that amount of money, but it is giving up the opportunity that may be there.
It’s this time I wish I could have a Frank Discussion, but it is MY decision.
