Final Numbers from Omaha Recall Election

20:45 19,820 18,974 38,794 241414 0.16

11:45 37,198 38,841 76,039 241414 0.31

This means one thing, although the people who wanted to recall Mayor Suttle had a big microphone, the voters reaffrimed their May 2009 vote.

As of Wednesday 01/26/V3.1 07:59 76,039 people have voted.  76,122 people voted in the May 2009 election.  That means about the same number of people came out to vote.  Probably the same people.

Thanks again for costing us $300,000.  We DON’T appreciated it.

Great kind of day

Today is Wednesday 01/26/V3.1 & its a 3 point kind of day.

Omaha’s Team is in action at 17:30 & ~19:30.  We lost to this team back on Friday 12/03/V3.1.  Its about time for a little take back.  Let’s get that tiger by the tail.

The word of the day is gung-ho, which is wholeheartedly enthusiastic and loyal.  I don’t pick these things, someone at dictionary.com does.  But that’s a good word today.

I’m gung-ho about UNO winning tonight’s basketball games, I was gung-ho about the MMXI Omaha Recall Election being a successful endeavor, although it cost the City of Omaha $300,000.  That’s a lot of potholes, but alas.

Have a GREAT day & do what you wanna do.

Same result, but now we owe $300,000

Correction on voting percentages

The voting percentages I released early on twitter(www.twitter.com/Vernon_J_) & as a comment on Action 3 News fanpage was incorrect.  Here are the correct figures.

So you think your vote…

Well today in my faire city of Omaha, we had a recall election.

You’re registered to vote, congrats step 1 is done. Did you vote?
You’re NOT registered to vote? You can go to the corner and think about what you didn’t do.

As of the 21:30 results there have been 56,700 votes cast.  You wanna know how its going.

28,349 people have voted to recall Mayor Jim Suttle, 28351 people have voted to keep Mayor Jim Suttle in the office.  If you are unable to do the math, that is 2 (two), (zwei) votes.

DON’T you ever wonder why Vernon J gets VERY UPSET, when you tell him you didn’t vote.  THIS IS WHY, EVERY SINGLE VOTES COUNT.  If you’re too lazy to EXERCISE your duty as a citizen of The United States of America.  I have very little respect for you.
I hope that on Tuesday 05/15/V3.2 that you’ll go out & vote.

Nebraska’s Unemployment Rate Dips to Nation’s Second Lowest

Lincoln, NE (AP) – Nebraska’s unemployment rate in December dropped to 4.4 percent, the second-lowest rate in the nation, state labor officials said in a report released Tuesday.

The rate showed a slight improvement from the same time the year before, when it was 4.6 percent, and from November, when it was also 4.6 percent, the Nebraska Labor Department said.

Nebraska’s December rate trailed only North Dakota’s 3.8 percent. South Dakota had the third-lowest unemployment rate, at 4.6 percent.  The national rate in December dropped to 9.4 percent from 9.8 percent in November.

Nebraska saw jobs added in December in three sectors: trade, transportation and utilities (2,148 jobs); manufacturing (1,122 jobs); and professional and business services (459 jobs), the department said.

@DivaKatrina A. I’m not cool.  I don’t wanna remake my profile picture, plus my @dellcares computer is broken right now. So I don’t have access to my original picture.  Maybe they’ll fix it soon.
