friendinpa: Last night I saw a bunch of local people posting on facebook about boycotting Chick-fil-A. I thought to myself that it was good that even in my little backwater people would protest bigotry against gays.
Then I realized that I have not seen a Chick-fil-A in quite a long time so I searched locations.
Turns out the nearest store is 94 miles away.
This is good. I like this persons stance.
Today’s word of the day is rakish which means, Smart; jaunty; dashing.
YES Vernon J is all of the above.
Today is Friday 01/28/V3.1 & its the LAST of a journey I started in July 2008.
I will fly my last solo day as Office Specialist at Food Bank for the Heartland. Next Week I get a Tag Team partner to teach her the ropes. The Week after that I start as SNAP Outreach Specialist.

Well today is a skipping to the bus stop kind of day, because that’s what I did this morning. When was the last time you skipped?

Volkswagen has made a car it says can travel 313 miles on a gallon of diesel, and that emits just 24 grammes of carbon dioxide per kilometre travelled.
The XL1, which seats two adults, combines a 0.8 litre two cylinder diesel engine with an electric motor.
The car is constructed around a carbon fibre reinforced polymer monocoque to reduce the weight to just 795 kilos.
