So Bright

Good Morning & Happy Sunday,

Our present & future is SO BRIGHT.

Today is Sunday 10/14/V3.3 & it is what you are going to make of it.

We know what our past is, we know what are present is (right this moment you read this), we don’t know what are future will be. BUT it is bright, the darkness is behind us. There might be a cloud or two, but the sun or reflection of the sun on the moon is only moments away.

The word of the day is crasis which is composition; constitution; makeup.

Now we move on to what does Vernon J do today.

Today is a day off work, no work at Job 1, 2, or 3. I could continue to relax like I’ve been doing all day. I might stop by the Nebraska GOP Victory office and make some calls. IF I do that it’ll be between 14.00 & 16.00.

There are no sports on TeeVee worth watching today. NASCAR was on last night & I couldn’t even watch it if I wanted  too. I don’t have ESPN.

Mike is laying some hard wood floor in his basement, improving the foundation. I could help him with that. I’m seeing what time he is working on that. He is working on that sometime soon, so I don’t know the details of that.

Those are the two things that I could do.

Here is a look at Vernon J’s schedule for the next 180 hours & 16 mins. I already know it is incorrect cause there is a project that I’ll be doing on Wednesday around lunchtime.

My next day off is Sunday 10/21/V3.3 or it could be Thursday 10/25/V3.3 Saturday 11/03/V3.3 if they enact/approve my new schedule for Thursday/Saturday off at First Data. YES I had to pull up my calendar & check. I realized that I may not have to work at the Benson Center on Tuesday. That is perfect for me cause I have to work Monday night.

Getting up at 06.28 (yes I get up on the eights) isn’t too bad, unless you work till 23.00 the night before. Gotta do what I gotta do.

So I’m looking forward to the next moments that we can share together.

I’m looking forward to Hockey on Friday & Saturday. I’ll be at both of those games. YES the battle of Nebraska goes to the pool this week. Its UNL vs its Big Sister UNO  in the pool. They come to our house first & then we go to there house on Saturday. LET’S GO MAVS!! Did you hear about the new (possible) sports arena that we are going to ask the University of Nebraska Regents (that’s UN or UofN, it isn’t Nebraska University) to approve in a really nice voice. I would suggest you go to https://www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov & find out who your regent is. Then contact them and inform them of how you feel about this project.

  • John (Chancellor of UNO) said the University would not seek direct appropriations from the Nebraska Legislature or occupational taxes from City of Omaha.
  • WE need this to be a Top-Tier hockey program
  • WE need this to have the Summit League Conference Championships in Volleyball or Basketball
  • I also support this.
Those are just a few reasons why you should tell your regent to vote yes. BUT if you aren’t in support of this project, you can e-mail them and inform them to vote no. PLEASE DON’T!

Well we are nearing that DC word count that we always fear in blogging circles, there is no such fear. So I’m going to cut this one off at this point.

Hasn’t Changed Much

Good Afternoon & Happy Tuesday,

This entry is coming to you post-lunch because I didn’t have time to do it this morning.

Today is Tuesday 10/02/V3.3 & it is see your Congressman on a main drag in your town.

I got up 92 mins before my 1st shift, that didn’t give me much time to do other stuff.

I took my self in the kitchen & washed some dishes. I don’t know how they got dirty. I called Kim cause she tweeted Call Me Maybe. I obliged & called her maybe, although no one has called me, even though I put the same request out. WHAT’S going on folks, it is the same number that was out there before she wrote that song.

The word of the day is hamartia which is tragic flaw.

Well at 08.00 I went to my 3rd job until about 13.00. I then saw Congressmen Lee Terry walking around the Benson neighborhood.

I’m sitting in the parking lot of my 2nd job, waiting for it to start in 55 hours. Also sharing my points of wisdom that I have gathered since the last post.

Did you know that The Weather Channel & others have decided that they will be naming storms this winter season. Isn’t that a stupid idea or what? I know that you can’t make an honest assumption of this policy, cause I have already told you it was stupid. NO you can either agree with me or disagree with me. Don’t worry, you won’t be banned. I hope Athena isn’t the only storm, if we get to Zeus, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? I don’t know how we lived so long in The United States of America without doing this. NO I didn’t finish reading the article, cause as I previously stated. IT IS STUPID

The Monday I like the most

Good Morning & Happy first’s

Today is the 1st day of the month, the first day of the week, & the first day of the rest of our lives.

Today is Monday 10/01/V3.3 & we are taking care of it.

So today is a day that started during the 08.00 hour, I was up before the alarm went off. Cause that’s how I roll.

I have a donation schedule & will complete at the Red Cross.

I have laundry to do.

I have a nap to take.

I have a trivia game night also.

So the following doesn’t deserve an entire blog entry.

So Action 3 News ran a story about how long it take people to ride Metro to the Election Commission. YES Liz Dorland was leading the charge with Ben Grey & a couple pastors in tow. NO they don’t have a video, a twitter post about it, or a post on facebook. That’s how important the story is to the network.

Ben mentioned how people are not trustworthy so they want to turn in the ballots in person. YES they questioned the Election Commissioner about this ‘issue’ YES I use the term ‘issue’ loosely. They also went to Metro & asked them about changing the bus route.

This isn’t an issue because

  • You can vote in person
  • You can vote by mail
  • You can turn in your ballot at 4 convenient locations.

I posted a question on facebook & twitter. There was two responses. One was about how only the Suttle Bus goes to the Election Commission & that Obama sold all the buses.

The word of the day is utile which is useful.

It’s time to get in the kitchen & make myself useful.

My Evening Report

Good Evening & Happy Weekend!

It couldn’t have been easier growing up in this 23 hours & 41 mins. I didn’t get to see you & you didn’t get to see me. BUT this isn’t about you & me it is about the BIGGER & BEST things in life that we have to offer.

NOW what are we going to do about it?

Well I say we grab life by the string & tie it to a balloon & enjoy it.

I had a good day.

  1. Went to the store, then
  2. Turned in some paperwork, then
  3. came home & started making dinner, then
  4. ate lunch, then
  5. went to work, and
  6. now I’m home & finishing up watching a movie.

So that is my Evening Report.

There will be some awesomeness tomorrow.

It is Friday the 2nd day of the weekend. YES, Mindi as I told you the weekend starts on Thursday.

I’m going to the 2nd debate of the candidates for the Junior Senator from Nebraska.

I’m then going to work & have a KINDA big decision to make.

If today

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday,

If today is the day you want to get it done, I thing you should do it.

Today is Wednesday 09/19/V3.3 & It starts with a Hello.

Well I got work today, then I got more work today.

The numbers that matter are somewhere around 42/60. At 1 job the work I do in 42 mins covers a full 60. YES the 42 is the part-time job. I shouldn’t have done the math.

The word of the day is bollix which is to do (something) badly; bungle (often followed by up): Why I have a new word I can use cause I’m a gentlemen.

I’ve watched the Mitt’s 47% video. Even if you disagree with his comments. YOU know what Barack has done, he has had 1,338 days since Tuesday 01/20/2009 at 11.01 VST. We know what he can & can’t do. It is time to give someone else a chance. Would you go back to an ex-romantic partner, or employer that didn’t do write by you?

I’ll take that as a now, if it isn’t a NO. Then don’t blame anyone but yourself.

No Tax Increase

The following is an e-mail to my City Council Member.

I’m sure you’ve heard about the UNMC | Cancer Center Project.

It is a great idea. Douglas County has already pledged $5,000,000 from inheritance tax. That isn’t an increase in taxes, so it is less importance. NOT that is a better/best use of resources. They already have $50,000,000 million from the state.

Stay tuned to other (additional) news sources about this.

Also remember that City Council Members are up for elections in MMXIII. Also the President of the University of Nebraska is appointed by the Regents (who we elect as well).

Today is Monday 08/27/V3.2 & we are in our last week of August MMXII. Just about 1/3 of the year to Make IT Happen this year?

Here’s what I plan to do today, in no particular order. I want to emphasis plan, cause only 2 of these things need to be done.

  1. Return items that I borrowed on Friday, no it isn’t anyone’s heart. IF they let me borrow it, I wouldn’t return it.
  2. Cleaning of the living areas
  3. Walking in LD 31 for Acela, who is going to be on the news this morning at 10.30.

That’s my entire day. I guess I will do all of that & have time to spare.

The word fo the day is compère which ia a host, master of ceremonies, or the like.

My Evening Report

Good Evening & How was your Monday?

Did you hear the good news? Well did you?

I had an interesting time today at the ole laundry mat.  You remember that time you had to call the police on someone smoking drugs in the laundry mat? OH that never happened to you. Then I guess we can’t discuss how that made you feel.

So I went to the Omaha Public Schools Board Regular Schedule meeting, they are on Every Other Monday at 16.30. The issue that was of importance to me is getting quality leadership on the board.

The people who voted to remove Freddie & therefore have my support. Board Member Kersten, Sandra, Nancy, & Justin.

The people who voted to retain Freddie & therefor do not have my support. Board Members Bambi, Mary, Marian, Nancy, Mary, Shirley, Barbara, & Freddie.

Shirley is my Representative & her term is up in 2014. We will sit on that for now. All terms are either up this year or up next year.

I wanted to go see The Blind Side at Midtown Crossing. I did, I wish other things were that easy.

If you happened to be reading the Washington Post, & I haven’t. But thanks to Brandon for his reading, he found yours truly. Vernon J, incase your forgot what blog you came to visit.

Bob Kerrey’s Senate bid is an uphill climb – The Washington Post NOW with all due respect & I mean with ALL due respect, I could give my longest chest hair about the article. I didn’t read it. But they did happen to have a GREAT picture of me.

I had a LONG day, not a bad day. A couple of things happened after the dog & texting incident that made it better. BUT this sure would have helped me feel better.

I do know that I am tired right now though.

So I’m going to try to get to bed this week.

A Governor from LA & a Senator from AZ.

Good Morning & Happy Saturday,

I had the pleasure of Meeting Senator Kyl of Arizona born in Oakland, NE raised in Wayne, NE. He is a great person & am glad I got to hear him speak.

Today is Saturday 07/14/V3.2 & I got to spend 5/24ths of Friday & 17/24ths of the day in Grand Island, NE.

on Saturday I got to spend some time as Sergeant – at – Arms.  Order was kept, but I don’t want to take responsibility for it. It was a team effort. I got to hear the Bobby Jindal speak. Visit his site for more information. He is the 55th Governor of Louisiana. He is 1 of 9, his father was the 1 of 9 siblings to get past 5th grade. Congrats Mr. Jindal on being the first.image

This is late because I got up at 06.00 and I was at the golf course by 07.00. I hope you won’t hate me cause I am beautiful.
