My Evening Report

Good Evening & Happy Friday Eve.

1st & foremost I learned that you can’t make things up on twitter.

Now if you follow me on twitter, you would know why this is funny.  I posted earlier about Omaha being the Best City in America. The United states of America, North America, & South America.

An unnamed reporter asked me if I had a source. I told her that my source was Vernon J & she could use Vernon-J.com as a reference. So it is funny, I’ve also made stuff up with Brianne also. I’ve also made stuff up with other people.

I like making stuff up.

There is also something else that was really good today that I wanted to report.

Well one of the ladies who does the Zumba class at Benson Community Center brought cookies in for a treat today. I appreciate that.

There is some stuff to go over.

Well tomorrow is Friday 03/29/V3.3 & it is the LAST Friday of the month.

I’ve now remembered what I wanted to talk about. I’m watching 180 Days: A Year Inside an American High School. So I just lost it again, I need to focus.

Stir Cove has announced all or a portion of their concert schedule. Well Trace Adkins is coming on Friday 06/07/V3.3 & it is going to probably be a GREAT show. Now there could be one dilemma for Vernon J.

The 4th Annual Cannoli Eating Competition & the 89th Annual Santa Lucia Festival. I just checked their facebook page and yes that event is the same weekend. The past III Cannoli Eating Contest have been on Friday. I’ve won all of them, I figure I can do it again this year.

oh, you must be wondering what the jist of this portion of the story is?

Well I think you should buy me tickets. The tickets are $40 + Fees, I’m sure if you go the box office, you can save on those unscrupulous fees. The tickets go on sale Monday 04/01/V3.3. IF you buy me a ticket, I promise to show up. You don’t have to get you a ticket, I’ll be fine going alone.

Make the Most of It

Good Morning & Happy Sunday,

Someone on facebook (let’s call her Annika) asked ‘what’s normal again’

Today is Sunday 03/10/V3.3 & it is new beginnings. I get to start work at 14.00 & am done at 22.30.

I posted on ‘Annika’s’ wall that Normal is what you decide. So what’s normal for you?

Over the last Five and one-half+ years my normal has been working two (or more jobs). I just took another position on a PT basis with an organization that I’ve supported for years. But thi$ PT job can replace the other part time job; if I so choose. Making sure I enjoy the day that I’ve been blessed with.

I’m currently okay (80%) with that normal. But I hope that normal will change soon. There is rumors going around that ‘main employer’ is on a hiring freeze. Don’t know if it is true, internal or external. I’ll have to check with multiple sources before I do anything. That anything is applying to outside companies like I’m only part-time employed.

On Tuesday 03/12/V3.3 is my 1 year anniversary of working at ‘main employer’; that doesn’t factor into my decision. The question that I have to ask myself is, What’s best for Vernon J & ‘the family’

The word of the day is haberdashery which is a retail shop dealing in men’s furnishings, as shirts, ties, gloves, socks, and hats.

As a friend or reader, I honestly want you to do that. I want you to be optimistic about EVERTHING, aslo don’t worry about a THING. Life has a way of taking care of business & that business is good.

These thoughts came to me cause. A + B = US & A + (longtime B) = US (still). I won’t go into details, I’ve honestly only told 1 person the full story. This math project is beyond my intellectual ability. All I can say is It Takes Two.

I had a Donut from the Donut Professor. I had like III to IV pieces of bacon, & Crash Davis better keep his hand off my bacon. Ed gave a GREAT political joke.

Today is Saturday 03/02/V3.3 & it is a combine my dry ingredients.

Well I’m hanging out at work posting on this blog, cause that’s where you get quality information about/from Vernon J. I even have the patience to update previous blog entries with current information.

Watching the Big 12 network, and they were saying how one of the players from Oklahoma was disrespecting the Texas fans by doing the horns down. Cause no fan has EVER taunted a player of the opposing team. As a member of the NMU Catpack, UNO Bullpen, University of Nebraska Omaha Athletics supports, I can assure that has happen. It will continue to happen,

I think that is it for tonight, looking forward to getting off at 16.00. I don’t have any special plans for tonight. BUT that could change. I’m just happy to be out of work before the sunsets today. The sun is set to set at 18.15. That’s funny I don’t care who  you are.

Seriously

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday,

Well that title could mean a lot of things.

Today is Wednesday 02/20/V3.3 & it is a quick draw McGraw kinda day.

When I put that title up, I was thinking something. Then I seriously went & got dressed. Left home and got on the bus. I don’t remember the exact reason why.

I think it had something to do with ‘Poppa Woody’, I think it had something to do with Raising Hope. Jimmy thinks Pop-a Woody is the poppa of the forest. He just doesn’t get it.

That’s a song by Sarah Buxton, you should listen to it.

The hashtag of the day is #Shortest. This is the shortest amount of hours I’ll work Mon – Fri. 08.30 to 13.00 & 14.30 to 18.00. It is the shortest day, cause I work 11.45 to 15.00ish on Saturday. I knew I worked a Saturday & since Saturday 02/23/V3.3 is the last one of the month. It had to be this one.

The word of the day is tensile which is capable of being stretched or drawn out.

They offered overtime+ tomorrow at work, so I could make 1.5, 2, or 2.5 times the amount of regular pay. I didn’t sign-up, yet cause I want to make sure that I’ll be able to get out & back without biking.

You would think 56.75 hours would be enough. What’s another III or VI hours. Well $20.25, $30.38, $40.50, $50.63 or $40.50, $60.72, $81.00, $101.26 if you do the math. I did the math.

My Evening Report

Good Evening & Happy Thursday-Eve,

YES today is Wednesday, but if you’re reading The Official Blog of Vernon J. Which you are, then you know that this is my 1st posts of the day.

Today is Wednesday 02/06/V3.3 & it was an ‘I wanna just sleep on this desk at work’

My day started at mere seconds before the alarm went off at 08.28, at least I think it was mere seconds. It could’ve been minutes. That is the benefit of NOT having  a clock in your sleeping area. I approve of that behavior, you should subscribe to it.

The word of the day is feuilleton which is a part of a European newspaper devoted to light literature, fiction, criticism, etc.

Well this is no feuilleton, it is being broadcast live from 41.263518, -95.973273. That’s Latitude and Longitude, it helps people fine their way. In 1884 it was determined by the International Meridian Conference that Greenwich would be the zero-reference line. Dominican Republic voted against this, while France and Brazil abstained. I don’t like people who abstain from a vote. STAND & be counted. btw the leader of Brazil didn’t have a President in 1884, that would explain their abstaining. My day was more than expected & less then it should’ve been.

I was not at all excited to be at work, I literally wanted to just sleep. Job 1 is boring, and it is boring being there. I NEED MORE!

Had a good time at my connections class this week. Next week is Ash Wednesday & I also become mayor. Winning!!!

All I Wanna Do

Good Morning & Happy Friday,

All I wanna do is: make my bed, shower, eat, breakfast, read the news on the 1st vote in the House of Representatives for the 113th Congress, blog, & DANCE!!!!

Today is Friday 0`1/04/V3.2 & it is my 2nd to last shift of work this week.

I had a great day off yesterday. The doctor game me some Naproxen, my wrist is feeling better today.

After I got home, I had lunch and did laundry. I watched some movies (Happy Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I & II, and Training Day. I watched CBS’s primetime line up. I actually watched Two and a Half Men, it appears they have improved the familyness of that show. I haven’t watched since BEFORE Charlie was an idiot and got himself fired. I finished all but the last page of the January MMXIII Popular Science magazine.

YES I read ALOT!

I went to bed between 02.00 & 02.30 today, I don’t wanna give away all my secrets. I got up between 09.30 & 10.00, my alarm went off at 10.28. That’s how I roll I don’t need no stinking alarm clock, my body know that it is almost #dance time & needs to get started.

Oh that twitter linked you posted less than 57 mins ago isn’t on your main timeline? You must actually use twitter. I do & I appreciate my 957 followers for engaging me in conversation. I have good conversations on that social network medium. In the last XII hours I’ve been mentioned by Matt Kenseth & Academy of Country Music Awards which have a combined total of 207,082 followers. YOU know it is my 2nd or 3rd favorite one. OF course my favorite is Vernon-J.com & associated subdomains.

The word of the day is couthie which is agreeable; genial; kindly.

Worked, had a good time

Nap, slept well

Worked, DIDN’T get yelled at! This is the measurement of how my day was at work.

Came home had a voicemail from Mindi. You know my girlfriend.

Tomorrow I am OFF, yeah.

I had this ‘notion’ that I would get up at 07.00 & do laundry. That was the dumbest thing I thought today. I’ll start a load when my alarm goes off at 09.58.

I cam home, caught up on #TeeVee. Talked to NOT I, but II Nicole’s, a Bridget & a Cassandra tonight. via twitter & facebook.

Just chillin & listening to some music before I crawl in bed. THAT reminds me, I need to turn the heat. The Heat is On!

So Bright

Good Morning & Happy Sunday,

Our present & future is SO BRIGHT.

Today is Sunday 10/14/V3.3 & it is what you are going to make of it.

We know what our past is, we know what are present is (right this moment you read this), we don’t know what are future will be. BUT it is bright, the darkness is behind us. There might be a cloud or two, but the sun or reflection of the sun on the moon is only moments away.

The word of the day is crasis which is composition; constitution; makeup.

Now we move on to what does Vernon J do today.

Today is a day off work, no work at Job 1, 2, or 3. I could continue to relax like I’ve been doing all day. I might stop by the Nebraska GOP Victory office and make some calls. IF I do that it’ll be between 14.00 & 16.00.

There are no sports on TeeVee worth watching today. NASCAR was on last night & I couldn’t even watch it if I wanted  too. I don’t have ESPN.

Mike is laying some hard wood floor in his basement, improving the foundation. I could help him with that. I’m seeing what time he is working on that. He is working on that sometime soon, so I don’t know the details of that.

Those are the two things that I could do.

Here is a look at Vernon J’s schedule for the next 180 hours & 16 mins. I already know it is incorrect cause there is a project that I’ll be doing on Wednesday around lunchtime.

My next day off is Sunday 10/21/V3.3 or it could be Thursday 10/25/V3.3 Saturday 11/03/V3.3 if they enact/approve my new schedule for Thursday/Saturday off at First Data. YES I had to pull up my calendar & check. I realized that I may not have to work at the Benson Center on Tuesday. That is perfect for me cause I have to work Monday night.

Getting up at 06.28 (yes I get up on the eights) isn’t too bad, unless you work till 23.00 the night before. Gotta do what I gotta do.

So I’m looking forward to the next moments that we can share together.

I’m looking forward to Hockey on Friday & Saturday. I’ll be at both of those games. YES the battle of Nebraska goes to the pool this week. Its UNL vs its Big Sister UNO  in the pool. They come to our house first & then we go to there house on Saturday. LET’S GO MAVS!! Did you hear about the new (possible) sports arena that we are going to ask the University of Nebraska Regents (that’s UN or UofN, it isn’t Nebraska University) to approve in a really nice voice. I would suggest you go to https://www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov & find out who your regent is. Then contact them and inform them of how you feel about this project.

  • John (Chancellor of UNO) said the University would not seek direct appropriations from the Nebraska Legislature or occupational taxes from City of Omaha.
  • WE need this to be a Top-Tier hockey program
  • WE need this to have the Summit League Conference Championships in Volleyball or Basketball
  • I also support this.
Those are just a few reasons why you should tell your regent to vote yes. BUT if you aren’t in support of this project, you can e-mail them and inform them to vote no. PLEASE DON’T!

Well we are nearing that DC word count that we always fear in blogging circles, there is no such fear. So I’m going to cut this one off at this point.

Well let’s roll this

Good Morning & Happy Thursday.

Biscuits, Sushi, Egg, Vinson. We can roll alot of stuff. Don’t forget about the Jelly ones either.

Today is Thursday 10/11/V3.3 & I’m not doing anything special today, cause I can count 3 consecutive digits in a row.

So we got our special Thursday edition of I work two shifts today. Okay, there isn’t anything special about that, but I’m all in charge today. My supervisor is out sick today.

No it isn’t that, It is Vernon J I do hope you’ll text me back & that way I can teach you about the proper noun usage. Proper noun

The word of the day is litotes which is understatment, especially that in which an affirmative is expressed by the negative of its contrary.
