Quotes from the World for Monday 12/16/MXIII

The idea that to make a man work you’ve got to hold gold in front of his eyes is a growth, not an axiom. We’ve done that for so long that we’ve forgotten there’s any other way.

You’re NOT Lawyer

Good Evening & Happy Sunday,

So I’m watching Raising Hope  Burt & Virginia are in court pretending to be lawyers.

Today is Sunday 12/15/V3.4 & we are on the last day of the first half of the month.

So I spent the first half of my day rotting my phone, it now works & doesn’t have any of that unnecessary stuff on there.

I watched a little tv, took a nap.

At 1900 I shall wash dishes and then have some dessert. Cause that is how I roll.

I didn’t even eat breakfast, but I did make my bed John. I’ve got no one to prove it cause no one was here yesterday so they can’t see that I made it. But if you give me 48 to 96 hours notice I can have that arranged.

The word of the day is misoneism which is hatred or dislike  of what is new or represents change.

What was your weekend like?

Quotes from the World for Sunday 12/15/MXIII

The great man knew not that he was great. It took a century or two for that fact to appear. What he did, he did because he must; it was the most natural thing in the world, and grew out of the circumstances of the moment. But now, every thing he did, even to the lifting of his finger or the eating of bread, looks large, all-related, and is called an institution.

Way to do Some Good

Good Afternoon & Happy Saturday,

There are more ways then 1 to do some good.

Today is Saturday 12/14/V3.4 & it is Jon & Paula’s Birthday.

If you read down to the bottom part about Stacey Weidner who was a recipant and also a provider. That is a way to do some good.

Work was FANTASTIC, it started off better than yesterday. Now the work is done for the week and we can enjoy our time off.

The dinner has been planned and it is bratwurst, Crinkle Cut Fries, and salidid for the end. I’ve already had some Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.

Tomorrow is Sunday & Church Day.

The apartment hunt is going, we filled out an application near 108th & Q St. We are going to take a look at Villa Vinee, I’d prefer to live at Villa Vinee, it is closer to midtown/work. BUT that is the negotiating process

The word of the day is whitherward which is toward what place; in what direction.

So what do you got going on?

Quotes from the World for Saturday 12/14/MXIII

If we confine ourselves to one life role, no matter how pleasant it seems at first, we starve emotionally and psychologically. We need a change and balance in our daily lives. We need sometimes to dress up and sometimes to lie around in torn jeans. . . . Even a grimy factory can afford some relief from a grimy kitchen and vice versa.

Quotes from the World for Friday 12/13/MXIII

All the scientists hope to do is describe the universe mathematically, predict it, and maybe control it. The philosopher, by contrast, seems unbecomingly ambitious. He wants to understand the universe; to get behind phenomena and operation and solve the logically prior riddles of being, knowledge, and value. But the artist, and in particular the novelist, in his essence wishes neither to explain nor to control nor to understand the universe. He wants to make one of his own, and may even aspire to make it more orderly, meaningful, beautiful, and interesting than the one God turned out. What’s more, in the opinion of many readers of literature, he sometimes succeeds.
