You’re NOT Helping

This is an e-mail that I have shared with Phil, who I think is Phil’s direct editor Joe, Editor Jo, Managing Editor Teri, President & Publisher John of the Arizona Daily Star.

The e-mail will be under the more label.

The story contains an article about Adam who was (probably still is) a disruptive individual to the employees (Rachel) & customers of a Chick-Fil-A on East Broadway Boulevard in Tucson.

I am hating the fact that organizations, media, & individuals have not read the article & decided to twist Dan’s word.

I stand with reporting the truth.

Good Morning & Happy Friday, or Anti-Morning & Anti-Friday,

I had the displeasure of reading Phil’s Tucson exec loses job over anti-Chick-fil-A rant in drive-thru story about Adam, the former employee of XYZ Company & possible XYZ University.

My problem is with the way you let this story inaccurately reflect what Dan said. Let me include the article of the interview for your reading pleasure. ‘Guilty as charged,’ Cathy says of Chick-fil-A’s stand on biblical & family values.

Also as a point of referencelet me include the section, that has caused our collective stupidity to show it’s head. Therefor you can accurately reflect the record for Dan.

“Some have opposed the company’s support of the traditional family. “Well, guilty as charged,” said Cathy when asked about the company’s position.

“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.

“We operate as a family business … our restaurants are typically led by families; some are single. We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that,” Cathy emphasized.”

I hope in future non-opinion pieces that you will not interject or allow writers like Phil to interject their opinion into local news pieces.

It is the behavior of Phil & your editorial staff that has allowed Dan’s real words to be disseminated across the country & possibly across the world.

There was not any statement or statements against gay marriage. There WAS a statement supporting the bibical definition of a family.

I would also like to see you take that line of of the story.

Thanks for taking the time to read my e-mail.

This is not the 1st story I’ve seen that have inaccurately reported the story.

As a note of record I have posted this on my blog.
