PR News Large PR Agency of the Year 2008

APPARENTLY my lil ole live journal entry got some attention in The Windy City!

Nothing says that we are doing it wrong like an e-mail from a PR agency to Vernon Joseph Davis of Omaha!!!

Hi Vernon,

I’m writing on behalf of the Corn Refiners Association to point out a serious inaccuracy in a story posted today about a new study that finds high fructose corn syrup contains mercury. We are very concerned that this story creates factually incorrect conclusions and may mislead readers.

The study appears to be based on outdated information since the Corn industry has used mercury-free versions of the two re-agents mentioned in the study, hydrochloric acid and caustic soda, for several years. It’s important that Americans understand that high fructose corn syrup is safe and high fructose corn syrup meets the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s requirements for the use of the term “natural.”

Attached is additional information for your review.

Thank you for your time,

Nancy

My Response to my new friends Nancy:

Nancy,

Wazzup? Good Morning,

Well I’m sure HFCS is natural in nature, but can you direct me to wear I can buy HFCS at my local grocer?

Cow Manure is also natural, BUT I don’t want that ANYWHERE near my food in the morning/mid-morning/afternoon/mid-afternoon/evening meal.  SO just because something is Natural doesn’t mean I want to consume it.

IF you and the Corn Refiners Association want to harass(oops I mean advocate to)  me, please do so with a personal visit.
