Great news for Cox Customers – the USC vs. Nebraska game will be carried in high definition this weekend!

As Cox and Hearst Argyle continue to negotiate reasonable terms for the carriage of the ABC signal, Hearst Argyle has made the decision to allow Cox to air the USC vs. Nebraska game and all other sporting events this weekend in high definition.

At this point, we do not have a long-term carriage agreement completed.  However, Cox is grateful for this good faith gesture by Hearst Argyle so that Cox customers in the Omaha Metro area can enjoy what is being touted as the biggest game to hit Lincoln in 30 years.

Customers can tune to channel 806 to watch the following ABC sporting events this weekend:

Saturday 9/15/2007

            2:00 PM  College Football Countdown

2:30 PM Notre Dame @ Michigan

6:00 PM Big Red Zone Game Day

            7:00 PM USC @ Nebraska

10:35 PM Big Red Zone Game Day

Sunday 9/16/2007

            12:00 PM  NASCAR Countdown

1:00 PM NASCAR Nextel Cup Series at New Hampshire

We appreciate your business and value you as a customer!  Enjoy the game!

  1. Heh, I didn’t get that Cox email, but I don’t subscribe to digital and I don’t have an HD TV. Still, I’m rooting for the Huskers since they’re the underdogs and I generally root for them anyway. It’s not like I’ll ever be able to cheer my alma mater (University of Guam) on in a televised game!

RE: NASCAR. I just never got the appeal. Cars going in a circle all day. Big fucking whoop.

We all can like what we like… I don’t fault you for liking NASCAR.
