unknown characters

http://www.scholastic.com/harrypotter/shrieking_shack/index.asp, can someone tell me who Seamus Finnigan and Godric Gryffindor is.

seamus is a fellow gryffindor same year as harry, and godric is the founder of the gryffindor house when hogwarts was built.
