Jim’s Records

I have responded by each item below. Council member Vokal voted in support
each of the items below. Council member Vokal was elected President of the
Omaha City Council on June 10, 2003. The term is for two years.

Buster Brown
City Clerk

Subject: Hello

I am contacting you regarding several property tax/ fee increases recently
passed. I received conflicting information from Jim Vokal and the NDP. I
need to know how Jim voted on the following issues.

Tax Rate Certification for the Year 2002 – Jim voted yes to adopt the
resolution
8/28/01 Ordinance 35698, 35700 – Jim voted yes to pass the ordinances
9/18/01 Ordinance 35714, 35712, 35713 – Jim votes yes to pass the ordinances
7/9/02 Ordinance 35988 – Jim voted yes to pass the ordinance
7/16/02 Ordinance 35997 – Jim voted yes to pass the ordinance
1/28/03 Ordinance 35997 [36151] – Jim voted yes to pass the ordinance
8/26/03 Ordinance 36375
9/9/03 Ordinance 36375 [ – Jim voted yes to pass the ordinance
10/21/03 Ordinance 36424 – Jim voted yes to pass the ordinance
12/16/03 Ordinance 36424 [36463] – Jim voted yes to pass the ordinance
4/20/04 Ordinance 36589 – Jim voted yes to pass the ordinance

Well it appears that Jim is a liar. Therefore he does not get my vote. Hello Anne Boyle, it is not so much as a vote for her, it is a vote against Jim.

    1. No I do not own a home. Why do you ask? But there were taxes such as ambulance fees, seat tax, building code fees, intrusion alarm, plumbin fees. swer charges, mechanical codes fees. it is the fact that he said “I’m proud to say I’ve never voted fro a tax or fee increase, and under my leadership as Council President there will be no increase in taxes or fees in 2005. Both ot those are confirmed lies.
