I’d Still Have You

I used to blame it on the clock,
‘Cause I swear it stops when you’re with good friends.
An’ Billy sayin’: “One more shot,”
An’ damn that shot always turned to ten.
Oh, but I’m afraid the truth,
Is if it weren’t for me, I’d still have you.

I used to blame it on the wind,
When it got still it meant the fish were bitin’.
Used to think the devil’s to blame,
For the hell I’ve raised an’ all that fightin’.
Yeah it’d make a good excuse:
If it weren’t for me, I’d still have you.

No, it ain’t my fault;
That’s a real nice thought;
Only problem is, it just ain’t true.
An’ still I curse the night an’ everything in sight:
Anything to keep from feeling like a fool,
‘Cause if it weren’t for me, I’d still have you.

I used to point my finger at,
The fact that you were born to money.
I could never measure up;
No poor boy’s love could ever keep you, honey.
But a lie won’t hide the truth:
If it weren’t for me, I’d still have you.

No, it ain’t my fault;
That’s a real nice thought;
Only problem is, it just ain’t true.
An’ still I curse the night an’ everything in sight:
Anything to keep from feeling like a fool,
‘Cause if it weren’t for me, I’d still have you.

I used to blame it on the clock,
‘Cause I swear it stops when you’re with good friends.
An’ Billy sayin’: “One more shot,”
An’ damn that shot always turned to ten.

Do you ever want to say that to someone?

Song of the Week

I’ll Take You Back by Brad Paisley. It is a totally twangy songs. The exes I dumped, or dumped me and asked me out again, need to listen to it.

I’ll Take You Back
Brad Paisley/Robert Arthur/Tim Owens (ASCAP)/(BMI)

When a freight train jumps off a track
And rolls down my road
And its summer time in Texas
And they’re playing in the snow
When politicians everywhere stop telling lies
And only state the facts
Right then, that’s when
I’ll take you back

Let’s say I get bucked off a bull and fall and hit my head
And then I get amnesia and forget the things you said
I lose my better judgement and I take up smoking crack
Right then, that’s when
I’ll take you back

Chorus
Go on keep trying
Come on keep calling
You know I like it
When you come crawling
Its like music
To hear you bawling
Waa, waa, waa, waa, waa

When Donald Trump takes a part time job parking cars
When Clint Eastwood does ballet in a big pink leotard
And a donkey wins the Derby as he takes his victory lap
Right then, that’s when
I’ll take you back

Repeat chorus

The day that old morning sun rises in the west
And they pass a law in L.A. banning artificial breasts
When cars can run on water, gasoline and oil ain’t worth jack
Right then, that’s when
I’ll take you back

Repeat chorus

Its like music
To hear you balling
Waa, waa, waa, waa, waa
Everyone needed to see the words.

Song of the Week

I don’t know if I put this song up, but I am doing it again. Kerosene by Miranda Lambert is cool. It is more rocking, but it is defiantly country. Raise the roof you country bumpkins

Songs of The Week

2 new good songs for this week.
Nobody But Me – Blake Shelton
Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off- Joe Nichols.

Song of the Month

Marc Broussard – Home. It is a pretty good song.http://www.islandrecords.com/marcbroussard/site/home.las

Songs of the week!

I got 3 songs this week, I like em all.
Sugarland – Something More. I am at this point in my life, but I don’t know what that something more is. I tried college, that didn’t work out. Big lost, but hey I did what the man had been telling me for years. Now he can ‘suck it’

Lee Ann Womack – He Oughta Know That By Now There is nothing significant to relate this song to my life, but it is just hot.

Jamie O’Neal – Somebody’s Hero This remind me of my foster parents who were a great influence on me, and all the rest of the people in the world who do good. You don’t need to save three burning people from the building to be a hero. Just volunteering or doing something without expecting anything in return is a heroic act.
