Got My Eye on You #13

H. Con. Res. 78 Condemning the Government of Iran for violating its international nuclear nonproliferation obligations and expressing support for efforts to report Iran to the United Nations Security Council. Lee Terry voted Aye It is currently in the Senate, no info on it yet.

H. R. 4774 To amend the Clean Air Act to require that, after the year 2012, all gasoline sold to consumers in the United States for motor vehicles contain not less than 10 percent renewable fuel and for other purposes. 10% what a joke, it is a good move. Of course there is that whole E85 which is 85% ethanol and 15% gas. No need to force them to do that or anything. This bill is currently in the house.

H. Res. 687 Raising a question of the privileges of the House. Not a bill but I wonder what this is about?

H. Res. 688 Amending the Rules of the House of Representatives to require that legislation and conference reports be available on the Internet for 72hours before consideration by the House, and for other purposes. Not a bill once again, but this is interesting. Will slow down the legislative process.

H. Res. 694 Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that, following a year of record setting profits, major petroleum products companies should incorporate the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program into their corporate citizenship and responsibility programs. A great idea seeing how people have $1,000 monthly bill, up from $200.

H. R. 4772 To simplify and expedite access to the Federal courts for injured parties whose rights and privileges under the United States Constitution have been deprived by final actions of Federal agencies or other government officials or entities acting under color of State law, and for other purposes. Guantanmo Bay would be in trouble

H. R. 4782 To permanently prohibit oil and gas leasing off the coast of the State of California, and for other purposes. H. R. 4783 To prohibit offshore drilling on the outer Continental Shelf off the State of Florida, and for other purposes. Keep our water clean

H. R. 4797 To protect America’s citizen soldiers. Get them out of Iraq

S. 2310 A bill to repeal the requirement for 12 operational aircraft carriers within the Navy. A funding cut for the military, sweet.

Letter sent to Representive Lee Terry:

I am contacting you about H.R. 2791, and H.R. 3729. I have been keeping track of these bills. These two bills appear on the Union Calendar as 203, and 202.

I urge you to vote against H.R. 3729, this border on Judicial Activism. The law is ambiguous at best with its ’emergency’ situation. That ’emergency situation’ portion of the bill should be stricken from the Resolution or the bill should fail to pass the house.

I urge you to vote for H.R. 2791. Reducing the fees for patents is a great idea, American innovation needs assistance. Cheaper fees will allow home inventors to submit designs, instead of just cash loaded entities.

Got My Eye on You #9c

H. R. 2791 To amend title 35, United States Code, with respect to patent fees, and for other purposes. This is a bill to reduce fees for patents. But what is really intresting is the donation from employees of companys like: National Assocation of Realtors, National Auto Dealers Assn, GE, Microsoft, and Time Warner. $232,700. I will be e-mailing Lee Terry, looks like this is going to the floor for a up down vote.

This is a post for an informational update on H.R. 3729  This bill was not introduced on 2/8/2006. It was introduced on Sep 13, 2005. It has been in committee since that day. Which means it is not dead, it is on the Union Calendar(yeah I didn’t know what that means, finding out) Calendar of the Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union, to which shall be referred public bills and public resolutions raising revenue, involving a tax or charge on the people, directly or indirectly making appropriations of money or property or requiring such appropriations to be made, authorizing payments out of appropriations already made, releasing any liability to the United States for money or property, or referring a claim to the Court of Claims., I guess that means it is going to go to the House Floor for a vote. A total of $48,500 has been donated for this bill, Lee Terry will be getting a letter urging him to vote no on this bill. If it comes up for a floor vote.

Okay, I made it to 9/10 posts.  That would be like over a week if it was a self improvment resoulution.  How long have you made it?

Refer to Update 9 or 10, for an update on Ben Nelson
Lee Terry introduced 0 bills, gave 0 speeches this week.  But he voted Aye on H. Res. 670, and H. Res. 657.  Nothing significant about either one of those bills.
Chuck Hagel introduced 0 bills, gave 0 speeches this week.

S.2262 : A bill to provide that pay may not be disbursed to Members of Congress after October 1 of any fiscal year in which all appropriations acts are not passed by Congress, and for other purposes.  Good bill, I figure if they can’t get our money probably distrubuted, they shouldn’t get paid

S.2263 : A bill to amend title 49, United States Code, to require that automobiles and light trucks manufactured after model year 2007 be able to operate on a fuel mixture that is at least 85 percent ethanol, and for other purposes.  A reasonable alternative fuel bill, DOA

Reforming Saudi Arabia Education

H.CON.RES.275.
Expressing the sense of Congress regarding the education curriculum in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Okay, how come we think we can enforce Saudi Arabia to change the educational standards? Lee Terry supported this measure, Bad Boy.

Edit
I am writing you in reference to H.CON.RES.275. I urge you to vote against this bill, we have no write to interfere in SA educational affairs. If you want to do something about education, do it here in America. The Department of Education received a decrese of 1% from the President. Sometimes things fall under ‘not in my backyard’, but America’s educational priority should be in my backyard. Department of Defense a 5% increase, we do not need an increase in that department.

Senator Hagel is on the Foreign Relations Committee, wrote him a letter.

I figured out my 2006 resolution is to piss off congress.

Lee Terry lost a vote

Letter to Congressman Terry
Mr. Lee Terry,
I am writing you concerning the Theresa Schiavo bill. I belive that ‘MY’ U.S. Congress has overstepped it boundaries. This is a private matter that has grown out of hand. The legal guardian of Ms. Schiavo has acted what he believes to be in the best interest of her. My tax dollars are now officially being wasted on this issue. The removing of the feeding tube is not a certain death for this lady. She has been in a coma for 15 years. It is time to honor her wishes, she is a vegetative state. I am very upset that you voted for this bill. I hope that Judge James Whittemore votes against reinserting the feeding tube. This is enough on your part to give a vote to your opponent in the 2006 election. I really enjoyed when I met you, but that joy is no longer there.

Letter to President Bush
Mr. President,

This is not the first time, and I am sure it will not be the last time you make a mistake this huge. ‘MY’ U.S. Government has no right to intervene in a private matter. I can not believe you and your croonies passed this law. I am republican, but believe me, if you were up for reelection I wouldn’t vote for you.
