Good Afternoon & How was your Saturday?

I can’t decide what the appropriate salutation is. I’ve been off work for 3.104 hours. I’ve sat on my butt, I’ve washed dishes, I went and got a $7 alarm clock. Me and my neighbor went for a walk.

At the end of the day I will have had no less than III delicious cookies. Maybe some Ice Cream, I just can’t decide. NOT that I have to  decide. This is The United States in America and no where in the Constitution does it say I have to decide anything to do with my dessert.

The word of the day is spigot which is a small peg or plug for stopping the vent of a cask. I always thought a spigot let water come out.

So I had a good day yesterday, I made Ice Cream Sandwiches. I didn’t make the Ice Cream, but the Sandwich part. They were really nice cookies.

From Susannah & Susannah’s sister there are apparently Cicada Killer Wasps and Susannah isn’t going outside anymore.

Good Morning & Happy Friday,

You gotta double pump your fist on days like this.

Today is Friday 08/02/V3.4 & you are front page news.

Today is a day off & you know what a day off means? I’m off of doing anything productive after 0800. Because I do EVERYTHING I need to do I do on Thursday’s.

So apparently Rolling Stone has more than double the sales of their July issue from last year. You know why it doubled, cause the media made a big stink about the cover. You know why it doubled, cause CVS, Walgreen’s, 7-Eleven and Stop & Shop refused to sell the magazines. There is nothing more proud then something telling someone they can’t have or do something. Cause they will do it just to be like Forget You!

I am doing something something today, like cleaning my kitchen. Going to vacuum the hallway and bedroom.

Did you know that 2013 is the 25th Anniversary of Coldstone Creamery? I bet you wonder why I bring this up, A. Cause #CSC25 is a GREAT promotion. Yesterday I posted on instagram http://instagram.com/p/cfGEOhniUf/ & you know I show them some love. I like the place and don’t mind sharing that on Social Media. There’s a point (wait for it). I won $10.00 in their #CSC25 promotion.

So that’s 226 words, what else can I share with you this morning.

OH, this is another #awesome story. So yesterday I was watching Wipeout on KETV. Bill interrupts the episode, cause you know it was raining and stuff. So at the end of the piece they have a liveshot. Bill says ‘that’s our Backpack Journalist’, like it is something special. Well a few weeks/months ago WOWT was running this ad about how the other stations couldn’t get close cause they didn’t have them. So my favorite reporter mentioned me and told me that I shouldn’t forget about them.

I informed her that they don’t make a big deal about having them. BUT if they do they do, then someone from KPTM chimes in that they have them too. Here’s a graph Now the link isn’t family friendly.

I thought I had a dental appointment today, but Doty didn’t call me yesterday. My appointment is on Friday 09/06/V3.4, this gives me more time.

& on that I shall call this blog entry good.

NPF Expedition

Good Morning & Happy Sunday,

It is pie making day. So the National Pie Foundation has granted me an expedition.

Today is Sunday 07/14/V3.3 & it is a day of joy.

So I got home last night from the OwL Ride last night. I was going to make a pie, but I didn’t have a crust. I didn’t want to make it from scratch, so I started making it post sleep time. It is literally in the oven right now. IF they had smell a blog, you’d smell what I’d smell. It smells good.

At 13.00 the BBQ is happening and I’ve eaten breakfast already. That means I have upwards of 2 hours of napping to squeeze in. NOW that’s something to look forward too.

Then I don’t know what I’m going to do afterwards.

The word of the day is rifacimento which is a recast or daptation, as of a literary or musical work.

G-Store before 07.00

I was at the Grocery Store before 07.00, you might have been sleeping OR you could’ve been awake.

Today is Friday 06/28/V3.4 & it is Annika’s Birthday!!!

Everyone wish Annika a Happy Birthday via twitter Annika (annika_stewart). She is awesome, we have know each other quite a while.

I’m sitting at the doctor. They saw my piece on Omaha Morning Blend.

After I leave the doctor, I’m going to drop off books at Omaha Public Library. The Willa Catha Branch! Putting 3 back in circulation.

The word of the day is mickle which is great; large; much.

Then I’m going to finish making my cake. I’ve already made the chocolate sauce & dipped a piece of bacon in it.

I also just got an invite for a Birthday Party at Fun Plex. That party happens at 22.00, I’m just waiting to decide if I want to be out that late. hmmmmmm!

I got up a little after 05.00, didn’t need my alarm today. My body knows when I need to be up. It is conditioned (seems like I spelled that right) to know when I want/need to be up.

I also need to go to the OPL Dale W. Clark branch. It was raining yesterday so I didn’t go.

My Evening Report

Good Evening & Happy Wednesday Eve,

*fair warning* There was a Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in the parking lot. I’m glad she didn’t pull a Miranda Lambert.

Today was a good day. Had fun at work (shared the love of #IceCream), rode home (& to work). I went to the Library and got another book.

I’m eating Ice Cream at home now. I’m not sure why I decided to do My Evening Report.

Well I did exchange a phone number with someone today.

There is also Karaoke tomorrow Wednesday 07/03/V3.4 at Saint’s Pub + Patio from 21.00 to 01.00. I’m waiting for Susie’s Brother to share the details. Let’s GO Susie’s brother, we need to know.

My Evening Report

Coming Soon, I need to read my bible verses for the day.

The 12,428th day of Vernon J was awesome.

We laughed.
We cried (waiting to see if anybody did)

Work was great, I got out a little late. But I got that terminal fixed & that’s what they pay me for.

I came home and had some Pasta, I didn’t have a salad like I was playing.

I meet new people today Mara, she knew about me. She works with Katie & Jim.

I didn’t tip the server, I honestly tried. She gave it back to me.

We had some Coldstone Creamery & I became Mayor on foursquare. I celebrated.

Tomorrow is the last 11 hours of work for the week!!

Exciting

Today is Monday 06/17/V3.4 & it is JIm’s 28th Birthday!!!  Wish him a happy Birthday in the comments or via twitter. Jim G (J_G_II) on Twitter

YESTERDAY was a good day for Team Vernon J. Well it started with work, I had a sneaky suspicious that I would finish reading a book and I did. I had a back-up plan. So that made it great. I then went down to the CWS (that’s College World Series of Baseball) and came home $25 richer. I entered the Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin’ Challenge. Eat 12 Blazin’ wings in 6 mins. I redeemed myself from the Crescent Moon Eating Challenge. I beat a guy who competed yesterday.

Then I cam home had some Blue Bunny Premium Ice Cream Red Carpet Red Velvet Cake™, I then went to the grocery store. I was home by seven and made lunch, showered, read, and then went to bed.

I’m now watching The Back Up Plan, cause there is nothing else to do at 05.00. I decided that watching the news in the morning is making me later than I would like it to be. So I’ve made an executive decision. I will try to watch the 17.00 news and 16.00 news. OR I just won’t watch and I think I’ll be fine.

The word of the day is phosphoresce which is to be luminous without sensible heat.

Don’t go OPS.org, you have to go to www.OPS.org. I don’t know why people make things SO difficult. The Board of Education Meeting is today, I’ll be there. Current Meetings – Omaha Public Schools. It is important that we know what is going on with OPS, as the media and OPS fail to do that.

Well we are nearing the 300 word count, not that I give myself a limit on the number of words/characters that I share with you.

Today is Saturday 05/25/V3.3 & we are XV days away from MY Birthday!!!

I awoke during the 05.00 hour today, I said it was because of the rain. BUT you know that isn’t true, I needed to be up earlier. Cause come this time next week I’ll be working hard. Okay, I’ll be at least working. I figured out that I will have about 65 mins between waking & leaving. I think 04.28 is early enough to get up before work. That gives me 2 hrs & 2 mins before I’m suppose to be to work.


This song is playing right now, it is perfect for the previous portion of this blog entry.

It is a love song, but it is more about the going & staying part.

The word of the day is blather which is to talk or utter foolishly.

So today is the day. Let’s see what I have to do. I’m driving for The Salvation Army in the La Vista Daze Parade. Don’t worry the carnival rides are safe and sound.

I then need to go to the office and get some stuff from Pete.

So far I’m liking this Google’s listen Now. It is worth the $7.99 a month, I just don’t knwo if I want to pay it. We’ll find out on Tuesday 06/18/V3.4!

I’ve made my bed,

That’s 197 Days IN A ROW of making my bed. I’m like a boss of making MY BED, maybe some day. I’ll be the boss of making OUR BED!

So as I am getting those stomach indications that I should eat breakfast I’m going to do that. I didn’t eat dinner last night, I just had a cup of Ice Cream & some Potato Chips. They were BBQ flavored. The Ice Cream was Blue Bunny’s White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie. <— I typed that last sentence from my kitchen. Isn’t wireless keyboards wonderful?

It is also raining outside, you’ve heard it here twice and on twitter at least once.


Even Officer Jacob Bettin of the Omaha Police Department has posted on twitter about it.

5 to stay alive

Good Morning & Happy Monday,

5 fruits and/or beggies to stay alive.

Today is Monday 05/20/V3.3 & we are just XX days away from my Birthday!!!

I started with a ‘serving’ of carrots. A serving is 85.05 grams, but since I don’t on a scale. I had ‘approximately’ a serving during breakfast. Haven’t actually eaten them yet, I’m getting there.

So there is an Omaha Public Schools Board Meeting today. The meeting starts at 17.00 & here is a link to the agenda. WE are going to try to make this meeting. No promise, but starting with the Monday 06/03/3.3 meeting that is at 18.30. Vernon J will be there. As I will be on my regular schedule that goes from 06.30 to 15.00. Don’t get me started on that fact that the meeting starts at a different time. I think today’s meeting starts early cause of the new board members. It also runs later.

The word of the day is coalesce which is to blend or come together.

So yesterday I bought a cake, that was a mistake. I had an undisclosed product, I’ll just past a link to it. Pepperidge Farm® – 3-Layer Cakes, now I know I’m a good baker. I also know that I should NEVER EVER buy a frozen cake. BUT I was being lazy & thought it would be a good choice. It was plane & not very flavorful cake. I give it a 3 out of 10.

Well breakfast is done.

Well the blog is done.

Well the bed is made.

I’m ready to start my day in 10 mins or so.

So, how was your day?

Today is Monday 04/08/V3.3 & it was a GREAT day.

I just got done washing dishes, I went to work, I went to a meeting.

NOW I’m sitting in front of the computer, doing my blog entry.

Kids it is only 20.49, we are taking care of business.

The word of the day is plethoric which is overfull; turgid; inflated.

I’m looking forward to that Ice Cream, that I have in my freezer.
