Comment on a Story

I’m just sharing my comment on this story – Police union files challenge to city’s decision denying some benefits to same-sex spouses – Omaha.com in case it gets moderated.

In this article and the interview with another news outlet* she said that she would be willing to negotiate with the Union. Just like she did with the Fire Union. AT the Present Time there are only 7 (of the thousands) of employees who have requested this benefit. The State of Nebraska recognizes a Marriage between a Man & a Lady. The citizens of Nebraska decided in 2000. If we fill that it is time to change that we will have to use the petition process to change our constitution. Mayor Jean Stothert is doing the right thing.

The other news outlet was KMTV Action 3 News. Same-Sex Couples Fight For Additional City Benefits – www.kmtv.com

I have included KIOS’s story here as well. Union wants health care benefits extended to same-sex married couples | 91.5 KIOS-FM

Spoilers & The Hunger Games

So people will start seeing The Hunger Games: Catching fire in just over an hour.

People are entitled to talk about the movie as soon as they get out of it. On the internet, in person, in the newspaper.

There are 2 reasons that this is possible.

A: Prince Edward said so: This is my word… and as such is beyond contestation.
B. It was a book, if you want to read the book. Visit Omaha Public Library to make a reservation and check out the book and read it.

There I SAID IT!

This weekend is looking to be another great weekend. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens, I’m planning to go see it after work on Friday. Aksarben Cinema has it showing at 1600 & 1630, so I’ll go see it at one of those times. No one else of Team Vernon J has expressed interest in seeing this. The comment section below is where you disagree with me and write, I WANNA GO!

The word of the day is snarky which is testy or irritable; short.

Enjoy your day & Make it Work.
