Quotes from the World for Sunday 01/29/MMXII

“One can’t believe impossible things.”
“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”

Lewis Carroll
Lewis Carroll [Charles Lutwidge Dodgson] (1832–1898), British writer, mathematician. Alice and the White Queen, in Through the Looking-Glass, “Wool and Water,” (1872).

In a letter to a child-friend in 1864, Carroll wrote, “If you set to work to believe everything, you will tire out the muscles of your mind, and then you’ll be so weak you won’t be able to believe the simplest true things.” (A Selection from the Letters of Lewis Carroll to His Child-Friends, ed. Evelyn M. Hatch, 1933).

Aaaaah.

Good Morning & Happy Sunday.

Today is just another day in paradise. I’m thankful that I have what I have. I could use a little bit more though, not material possession though.

Today is Sunday 01/29/V3.2. It is suppose to get to a high of around 15 – degrees. I think since it is still clear, that is perfect riding the bike weather though.  Who’s with me?

Well I’m planning to go see a movie today, I didn’t utilize my time wisely last week. NOW I have to pay an extra $2, cause they don’t have a AM Movie now. Whatever. If you seen my tweet that was posted between 09.40 & 09.50 then you know why I’m okay with that.

The word of the day is hotchpot which is the bringing together of shares or properties in order to divide them equally.

I got a call from a friend inviting me to a church. WOW, I told her maybe in 2015. That gives me plenty of time to get dressed & eat breakfast. In addition I’m not catholic.

So now I’m going to go & take care of that breakfast thing, I’ll probably even get dressed.

Have a Good day!!! Vernon J is Vernon J.
