13 Essential Literary

What are they, do you know them?

Good Morning & Happy Monday Tuesday!

I dingy unite what they are, I didn’t read them yesterday.

Today is the 23rd day of September in my 36th year.

I didn’t post yesterday or the day before that. One of those days had a perfectly rational reason.

Photos from yesterday,

I forgot how easy/awesome it is to work Monday at the Donut Shop. Speaking of working at the Donut shop, if you’re looking for a part-time job. We’re looking for a few good men & ladies. Visit the store 10730 Q St. Or visit http://DunkinDonuts.com to apply.

The word of the day is hebdomadal which is taking place, coming together, or published once ever seven days.

We have work today, I will do 8.5+ hours.

Then we have our Douglas County Republican Party meeting. Lou Ann Goding is the featured speaker. Announced Monday. She is the Vice President of the Omaha Public Schools Board of Education. I’m excited to hear what she has to say about the bond issue.

Which I’m on record as saying will pass 3-2.

I’m also thankful for the planning department who saved us up to (& not excluding $18,000,000).

Also thanks to Roseann & KMTV Action 3 News for highlighting the unprofessional behavior off one of our city council members. http://www.jrn.com/kmtv/news/Tensions-high-at-north-side-town-hall-meeting-Monday-276415001.html?lc=Smart

Have a Good day.

Why does race matter?

STOP being racist.

Yes you can be racist against someone who ‘looks like you’

Bicycle & Walking Coordinator

This is a letter I @Jean_Stothert sent to organizations supporting Omaha’s Bike-Pedestrian Coordinator position and the feedback the we are taking a step backwards:

Our commitment to safe transportation for everyone has never been limited to just one person and it won’t be now.

Since it was created four years ago, the bike-pedestrian coordinator’s salary has been paid primarily with private funding. As that money runs out, and the donors are not renewing their financial support, the position will be eliminated, but our commitment to safe, accessible multi-modal transportation will in fact, be expanded.

my take As a non-car owner. I’m clearly for the multi-modal transportation. As a taxpayer, I’m for government reducing costs, unnecessary services, eliminating duplicated services. I’m glad that Carlos was here to facilitate change. But the ALAC is a better use of time, money, & other resources. A position will be eliminated, but will there be a vacuum in that area, no. I know Julie & she will do a great job being chair of this committee.

I also ride from/to 108th & Q to midtown/downtown. We are lacking east/west trails, but that is something we as riders know about.

We Don’t Coast in Omaha. There are too many hills.

I can’t believe this ….

So on KETV’s fanpage, a lady (let’s call her Courtney) posted something intresting.

Courtney Haite ‎@chauncey we all did get out and vote.. the majority of registered voters did vote but they voted for him cuz he said he was going to fix everything and make it better.. but his way of fixing it turned out to be taxing this and taxing that.its a bunch of bs and once january 25 comes and we have the election it will be over and he wiol be gone’ You can see for yourself here.

So I went to www.VoteDouglasCounty.org & found out the registred number of voters in the primary election.  A MAJORITY of the people did not vote in the general election.  In my lifetime I’ve learned that a majorithy is 50% of the total + 1.  Only 76,122 people voted for the Mayor in the 2009 General Election.  That’s 31.494% of the registered voters as of March 29, 2009, & 31.480% of the registered votes as of May 1, 2009.  Neither one of those are a majority.

Those are opinions, those are facts.

She's a Comedian? She’s a Comedian?

Courtney is a comedian?

She has to be, right?

Courtney said that she did vote in the 2009 general election & plans to vote on Tuesday 01/25/V3.1.  I’ve learned that she isn’t a comedian.
