Was there a debate

Good Morning & Happy Thursday,

YES it is really Thursday. My friend (let’s call her Sandy) texted me & said “Its Thursday” I responded WAIT, stop the computers. Was someone saying it wasn’t Thursday. Totally makes me smile.

Today is Thursday 09/06/V3.3 in case you just missed the entire preamble of this entry.

IF you did, what’s wrong with you?

So I got up a little earlier than anticipated, I wasn’t sleeping so I got up. Watched Action 3 News, This Morning & who was on the news today? As per usual when I asks who was on the news, it was me.

The video was from MMVII or could’ve been from MMX. I wanna say it was MMX, because the video was from Westwood Plaza 7 I don’t remember it being out there in MMVIII. At least to the best of my knowledge. The story was focused on the new plan for the Keystone XL pipeline & that Congressman Lee Terry supports it. I always like seeing myself on the news.

The word of the day is piceous which is inflammable; combustible.

I need to check the weather the rain is suppose to start at 21.00 & continues though the rest of today. 50 to 60% chance of rain, so that means I won’t be riding my bike.

Make <- where was I going with this? I remember where I was going with this, I think.

September is Hunger Action Month, support Food Bank for the Heartland & other Feeding America organizations by wearing orange today.

Looking ahead to the weekend. When I went to bed I was under the impression it would be a 13 hour day. They offered overtime starting for 10.00 to 13.00, I signed up. Can’t go wrong with 4.5 additional hours of pay. When I awoke I found out that my day will actually be starting at 08.00. It is Super Saturday

I think that takes care of any of the issues for right now.

The sunrise was at 06.56 & the sunset is for 19.48. That.s 12 hours & 54 minutes of Sunshine. I hope you make the most of it.

Supreme Court of the United States & 11-393

1st – Here is the SCOTUS opinion. I provide you with this so you will know that you can FORM your on opinion.

2nd – I have insurance though First Data, I’ve had insurance though Food Bank for the Heartland & The Salvation Army. When I worked at McDonalds, Big Apple Bagels, Russ’ Restaurants. I anticipate all future FULL TIME employers to provide such healthcare for me.

3rd – IF my employers didn’t provide me healthcare I would get it for myself, cause it is UNACCEPTABLE to not have health insurance. The costs of an accident or illness should not be passed on to anyone else.

*full disclosure* I am NOT a lawyer by trade, training, & I don’t even pretend to be one on the internet.

I agree with the courts opinion that the federal government should not reduce medicaid funding if they choose not to expand to people making under 133% of the poverty level. This would be people making less than $11,495 $5.58 per hour. YES that is much less than the minimum wage. But people like me Single, Able Body Adults Without Dependents do not qualify for medicaid.

YES there are places that don’t offer health insurance & it can be tough. BUT to withdraw the money from people who currently qualify for the assistance isn’t the way I want it.

The second and most important decision that rubs me the wrong way is allowing the individual mandate to stay in effect.

The costs for this Individual Responsibility -| HealthCare.gov mandate is as follows. $95 or 1% of HI up to $285 for 2014, $325 or 2% of HI up to $975 for 2015, $695 for 2016 or up to 2.5% of the income capped at $2,250 per family. Of course HealthCare.gov doesn’t have that anywhere on their page. I got those numbers from here & here.

WE CAN’T FORCE PEOPLE to do something their want. That’s not my America & I’m mad a a bee trapped in a honey jar.

The SCOTUS did their job, it is now time for Congress to do their job.

Lee, Ben, Jeff, Adrain, & Mike I’m c This Act would have provided unting on you to do what is right.

Someone (a Congressman) asked to people under 40 (YES THAT ME) would give up their health insurance to go on the government. My answer was NO!

If they taxed us for things that we didn’t want to do (ie buy a car) for the 1st FULL XXXII years of my life, I would have had additional taxes.

*edit* Representative Lee introduced H.R. 3937 int he 111th Congress. Which is the Simple Universal Healthcare Act of 2009. This Act would have provided coverage based on the Federal employees health benefits program. Simple Universal Healthcare Act of 2009 (2009; 111th Congress H.R. 3937) – GovTrack.us I supported it then & I support it now.

The word of the day is syndic which is a person chosen to represent and transact business for a corporation.

How you like to be in jail, FOREVER!

The Future of TV

The National Association of Broadcasters is urging TV viewers to call Congress.

Apparently there is a spectrum issue, with the advances in technology the handheld device manufacturers and providers want more spectrum than they have had in the pass.

Yes the NAB is using private money to run these commercials.

They are saying that “Congress is currently considering action as part of the debt and budget negotiations that could threaten your local TV.” 1

Well I say Congress has bigger & more valuable issues to worry about than The Future of TV.

I am e-mailing the nab for more information.

For example

  • balancing the budget
  • ending the military conflicts in Iraq & Afghanistan
  • reducing the debt.

Yes I urge everyone to contact congress, but not on this issue.

What? 13 Billion dollars

So I got an eUpdate from the my Senior Senator from Nebraska.

Didn't you read it first?

So on December 24, MMIX when you voted for H.R. 3590.  You mean you didn’t see this $13 Billon change.

Say it ain’t so Ben,

Say it ain’t so Ben?

Terrible job you’re doing.

Nebraska left with no child-only insurance policies

By Martha Stoddard
WORLD-HERALD BUREAU

LINCOLN — Jennifer Piatt normally isn’t much of a gambler.

But the Creighton University law student has been forced to take a chance on her 9-year-old daughter’s health this year.

The reaction of private insurers to the 2010 federal health reform law has kept Piatt from finding insurance for Isabelle.

“I’m just hoping she doesn’t get sick,” said Piatt, who added that she can afford and was willing to purchase a private policy for Isabelle. Continue reading “Nebraska left with no child-only insurance policies”

@USCHO_Semisch

@USCHO_Semisch I actually posted on Vernon-J.com.  I’ve said my piece & if anyone wants to enage me further on this topic they shall.  I see NO reason to comment past my original post.

If you have a question then ask away & I’ll do my best to answer those.

Thanks for the comment.

Government Shutdown, that’s good!

House Republicans readies short-term bill to prevent government shutdown. http://bit.ly/eZhuLP I think last time we had one, there was a balanced budget.

The 1995 “shutdown” of the United States federal government was the result of a conflict between Democratic President Clinton and the Republican-controlled Congress over funding for Medicare, education, the environment and public health. It took place after Clinton vetoed the spending bill which Congress sent him. Thereupon, the Federal government of the United States put non-essential government workers on furlough and suspended non-essential services from November 14 through November 19, 1995 and from December 16, 1995 to January 6, 1996 (see budget crisis). The major players were President Bill Clinton and the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Newt Gingrich.

According to data from the Congressional Budget Office the U.S. Budget had more revenues than outlays in MCMXCVIII.  It’s MMXI, I see no reason why this isn’t possible today. Just the facts.

SHUT IT DOWN!!!!

A couple more ideas to balance the budget(I have not researched this proposals), they are biased & I can NOT vouch for their merits. http://blogs.reuters.com/james-pethokoukis/2010/11/15/balance-the-u-s-budget-it-did-it-in-under-a-minute/ & http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2010/10/how-to-cut-343-billion-from-the-federal-budget

Senator Johanns, Happening in Washington

Senator  Johanns e-Update
January  21, 2011

I am encouraged by the growing list of bipartisan Senators who are cosponsoring my 1099 repeal bill. I know that this is incredibly important to many small businesses in Nebraska and throughout the country, and it will be my first official act of the 112th Congress. I’ve  invited all my colleagues to introduce this legislation with me, and so  far, 29 have agreed to cosponsor.

Some of Nebraska’s own small business  owners tell the story best. Jeff Scherer, who owns and operates Smeal Manufacturing in Snyder, understands the importance of repealing the 1099 mandate tacked onto the 2,000-page health care law.  Unless repealed, Scherer estimates this provision will cost his business more than $23,000 in additional paperwork fees that could otherwise be  used to reinvest in his company. Unfortunately, Scherer’s company is one of 40 million businesses across the country poised to be hit by this paperwork nightmare.

Bipartisan  support for my legislation is already growing rapidly. By removing this nonsensical obstacle to economic growth, the new Congress has an opportunity to recommit our support for our nation’s job creators and help put Americans back to work.
