Happy 06:18

Today is Sunday 04/17/V3.1 & its a Grand kind of day.

I’ll be heading to Grand Island, NE today for a health fair.  I’ll be doing SNAP outreach, this will be my 1, (first), time to the big GI.  Hope I don’t get loss.

I’m planning to record Phrase of the Week Vol. 1 Week 47, you can see the other 46 right here.

The word of the day is scurrilous, which means Grossly or obscenely abusive. Don’t be scurrilous.

Have a GREAT day & see ya when I get online.  My next blog will be from the road.

Live from York, NE

I’m on my way to North Platte, NE today.

Meet with some important people & some community partners.

I had a good night, longer than expected.

I’ll be home tonight.

The word of the day is bedaub which means to smudge over; to besmear or soil with anything thick & dirty.

Have a GREAT day.

Omaha, NE to North Platte, NE

I realized that as I was passing the last Lincoln exit sign on I-80, I had never been this far west in a car.  I’ve been to Denver, Portland, Sacramento, via train. Hawaii, LAX, & SFO via plane.

Good drive so far, I have 3 meetings this afternoon. So what is there to do in North Platte, NE?

I’m having a GREAT time in D.C. I sure miss Omaha though.

Leg 1 of the outbound

Well the plan ‘boarded’ on time in Omaha.

Apparently it was windy & we sat on the tarmac for about 45 to 55 mins.

The flight was wonderful, I’ll have some pictures up of course.  Just so you know, I may or may not have worn my seat belt.  Remember that I CAN’T live by your rules.

I’m currently sitting in gate B11 & it boards in about 3 mins.  I’m in group 2 of 4.  LOVE it!!!

Stupid TSA

So far I had to pay $25.00 to check a baggage, ROBBERY!!!

I then went through TSA & apparently you can’t put two laptops in the same bin.  You know impossible to scan 2 laptops in the same bin.

Apparently you can’t have water in a water bottle, although there is a DRINKING FOUNTAIN behind the gate.  I’m enjoying this secure water now.

I’m sitting in B13.

I’m off to the East Coast Again.

Safe to The Big K

I left Omaha about 08:00 on the road to Kearney, NE.

I did not know that there was a Waco, NE.  When you are traveling along I-80, the road is funny material right before the Waco, NE exit.

Easy drive,  I went under the famous Kearney Arch.  I don’t know how famous it is.

Having some lunch at Long John Silvers, don’t trust the Thai Buffet yet.

Blogging from the Road

With my new position with Food Bank for the Heartland, I’ll be traveling.

The 1st journey is today, I’ll be going to Kearney & Hastings.

I plan to do a new series, blogging from the road.  I’ll actually do the blogging from a non-driving position, as doing anything but driving is BAD!

Keep checking here for Blogging from the Road(in a booming voice).
