NO on LB 314

I read a portion of Nebraska LB 314 (2019).

I’m going to have to encourage my Senator Myron Dorn LD-30 and members of the Revenue Committee to vote no on this bill.

This bill is too complicated to be rolled together. I would suggest a smaller bill to start with to let each tax increase and elimination of exemption stand on it’s on merit.

NOW we know property tax relief is important to people who pay it. I live in an apartment and do not write a check directly to any Government body. So I’m protected in this effort.

But what are we willing to give up to gain property tax relief?

Text of the purpose of the bill:

Raise a bunch of taxes, eliminate exemptions.
