Quotes from the World for Saturday 10/27/MMXII

It is the nature of the artist to mind excessively what is said about him. Literature is strewn with the wreckage of men who have minded beyond reason the opinions of others.

You can replace women with ..

  • Man
  • Black
  • White
  • Religious
  • OR whatever smaller category you won’t to narrow it down to.
  • JUST GET YOUR BUT OUT THERE & VOTE!

… even if the right to vote brought to women no better work, no better pay, no better conditions in any way, she should have it for her own self-respect and to compel man’s respect for her.

Susan B. Anthony
Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906), U.S. suffragist. As quoted in Life and Work of Susan B. Anthony, vol. 3, ch. 62, by Ida Husted Harper (1908).

In a letter dated June 27, 1903, to Margaret A. Haley, President of the National Federation of Teachers. Anthony believed, and counselled Haley to argue, that women could force improvement in their salaries and working conditions if they had to the power of the ballot; she emphasized, nonetheless, that the vote was inherently essential.

What tempature does water freeze?

This is NOT an intelligence test. I’m sure you’re smart (OR stupid) on a scale of 1.0E+0 to 1.0E+1.

I just mathed you again.

I am posting this on my lunch break (see how much I care about my readers?). I will post more after work.

*post lunch continutation

At 18.28 I hit the 12 hours of NO sleep. No nap today. I’m sure by time that it is all said & done it’ll be 18 hours.

At the current time (17.43) I’m planning to get to bed straight-away. We will see how that goes.

YUP something amazing happened. So Mike texted me & asked me if I checked my mail. NO I didn’t check my mail, I was you know working.

BUT I come home to an amazing invitation to Mike & Dawn’s wedding.

I can’t wait till Saturday 06/15/V3.4. I can’t make it to Hawaii, been there done that. Plus I’m penciled in for a trip to Wyoming in the Spring.

What else happened post work?

Nothing, Nothing, & Nothing.

We hit the 18 hour mark in 9 mins. I have watched The Big Bang Theory, I’m currently watching Person of Interest. It’ll be off here in a little bit.

I guess I’m primarily waiting for my bedroom to warm up.

That’s it for now, enjoy what I have shared.

Quotes from the World for Thursday 10/25/MMXII

You can’t write about people out of textbooks, and you can’t use jargon. You have to speak clearly and simply and purely in a language that a six-year-old child can understand; and yet have the meanings and the overtones of language, and the implications, that appeal to the highest intelligence.

So it Begins

Good Morning & Happy Thursday,

Today is Thursday 10/25/V3.3 & it is a waffle-licious kinda day.

I work both jobs today. 4.5 hours at one & VII hours at another.

The think about roman numerals is that there is no half notation. I hope you’re not wondering why the Roman Empire collapsed anymore. One moment in history was their reckoning.

You must be aware of these moments and not let them fail you.

So its the weekend, this weekend is the Crescent Moon Howl at the Moon party. I haven’t spent any money on a costume and don’t plan too.

Do you have any halloween plans?

Its too quiet in the office, a little music would help. Aside from the Benson traffic as it moves by.

The word of the day is uncanny which is having or seeming to have a supernatural or inexplicable basis; beyond the ordinary.

Well I don’t have much else. ENJOY what you’ve earned.
