Why Drive

I had a party to go to on S. 50th Ave.

I know I didn’t wanna drive, I can’t figure out why I decided walking was a better alternative.

But I did, I had fun.

Quotes from the World for Saturday 03/10/MMXII

Why do our bodies wear out? Why can’t we just go on and on and on, accumulating a potentially infinite number of Frequent Flyer mileage points? These are the kinds of questions that philosophers have been asking ever since they realized that being a philosopher did not involve any heavy lifting. And yet the answer is really very simple. Our bodies are mechanical devices, they break down. Some devices, such as battery-operated toys costing $39.95, break down almost instantly upon exposure to the Earth’s atmosphere. Other devices, such as stereo systems owned by your next-door neighbor’s 13-year-old son who likes to listen to bands with names like “Nerve Damage,” at a volume capable of disintegrating limestone, will continue to function perfectly for many years, even if you hit them with an ax. But the fundamental law of physics is that sooner or later every mechanism ceases to function for one reason or another, and it is never covered under the warranty.

I also have some campaigning to do today. To my esteemed local readers who haven’t volunteered to sign up, Elizabeth L & Elizabeth A what are you doing at 12.00?  YOU both know my number & if you don’t have it saved Elizabeth L its right at the bottom.  I would appreciate your help.  To the other readers go on over to fb.com/VernonJLD9 & like my page. The word of the day is esculent which is something edible, especially a vegetable. I haven’t taken part in the esculent’s today.

As I previously mentioned it is Christine’s Birthday today, I am planning to go to her Birthday party. BUT (& forgive me for this) if MW’s friend cancels on her, I offered to go to the Lady Antebellum Concert. But I’ve given you alot of love & if that happens, I’ll take the card to the party address.

Have a GREAT Saturday & remember I don’t have it in my eyes alone.
