Quotes from the World for Tuesday 03/06/MMXII

The basis of world peace is the teaching which runs through almost all the great religions of the world. “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” Christ, some of the other great Jewish teachers, Buddha, all preached it. Their followers forgot it. What is the trouble between capital and labor, what is the trouble in many of our communities, but rather a universal forgetting that this teaching is one of our first obligations.

Eleanor Roosevelt
Eleanor Roosevelt (1884–1962), First Lady of the United States, author, speaker, and diplomat. As quoted in Eleanor and Franklin, ch. 27, by Joseph P. Lash (1971).

Written in 1925, before her husband, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, had yet been elected President.

Early Morning

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday,

Back to the early days for right now, it’s 05.00 & I’ll be heading west this morning. Having a breakfast on that side of the tracks. I should be okay.

Today is Tuesday 03/06/V3.2 & its not a Bad Day. So work on spreading that smile to everyone. They are free & contagious.

Well I’m going to do laundry after my breakfast & then come home & take care of some business after that.

I will be going back out at 16.00 today, I had a good time talking to people & l;earning what is important to them.

The word of the day is appertain which means to belong as a part, right, possession or attribute.
