this Week for Vernon J

Well today is Sunday, I did NOTHING! Not a very good moment, I still have about 4 hours before the day is over. I’m gonna do something after posting this entry.  Make me feel a little better.

Monday 03/28/V3.1 – I have work & a subCommittee meeting for the Neighborhood Association.

Tuesday 03/29/V3.1 – I guess leaving at 05:00 is only 1 hour early than leaving at 06:00, I’m heading to North Platte, NE.  Gonna become my 2nd favorite city of Nebraska.  Does anyone wanna ride with me?

Wednesday 03/30/V3.1 – Humpday could be rough on me, LOOK what I’m doing on Tuesday!!!!

Thursday 03/31/V3.1 – The 1st day of weekend, I have another subCommittee meeting as part of a Neighborhood Association group.

Friday 04/01/V3.1 – Its April Fool’s Day & I won’t be a fool this day.  Gonna do what I need to do!!! I get to go to Omaha’s Children’s Museum, First Friday Family Date Night, the sports edition.

Saturday 04/02/V3.1 – I think there is something checking schedule, okay, I checked, I don’t have anything.

There’s Vernon J’s Week!!!  Time to go for a bike ride.

Quotes from the World for Sunday 03/26/V3.1

Prejudices, it is well known, are most difficult to eradicate from the heart whose soil has never been loosened or fertilized by education; they grow there, firm as weeds among stones.

Shake It

Today is Sunday 03/27/V3.1 & its the kind of day where you can stand up & say.  My name is Vernon J & I can riffle the mess in my life.

I just put up a random verb after ‘I can’, doesn’t really flow.  But I can do what I want, this is the United States of America.

I’m going to do 3 things, today I just don’t know what yet.  I can’t put myself in a box that’s smaller than 100 sq miles.

The word of the day is equivocate, and it means to be deliberately ambiguous or unclear in order to mislead or avoid committing oneself to anything. I didn’t see the word of the day before I posted the above to-do day.

Have a GREAT day & do something.

Time Penalty for Riding

I cam accross this comment in a fairly popular website. I disagree with that statement, hope I made some valid points.

Actually, relying on a bike rather than a car is rather expensive. You’re far more vulnerable to serious injury in an accident. You are seriously limited in your mobility, limiting your shopping and employment choices, both which have a serious economic penalty. not tomention the time penalty. As far as recreation nothing wrong with it, but for most it is an obsolete mode of travel.</i>

That’s just STUPID, but I won’t say that, because I don’t know you.

If you get in an accident on a back, your injury & death potential are less.  http://neptune.spacebears.com/opine/helmets.html, that’s not a independent website proving that.  Its just kittens purring.

Limited in mobility, limiting your shopping & employment choices. NOT true, you can live in the region you work & shop.  In addition you can supplemental your travel with Public Transportation, Cab, or ZipCar or similar method.

The personal economic impact is actually better for the individual.  No wasted money on interest on car loans. NO to little reoccurring car insurance. Public Transportation can be reimbursed by employers and/or tax benefits.

There is NO time penalty, we all have 24 hours a day.  You chose to spend them how you want.  You plan your trips out.
