Police sued over piercing removal

A woman is suing Christchurch police for $150,000 after an officer allegedly used boltcutters to remove her piercings.

Lawyer Tony Greig said the woman, believed to be in her thirties, was arrested for obstruction in mid-2008.

Greig said the woman alleged five of her piercings, including one in her genital area, were removed using boltcutters after she was taken into custody.

The woman was acquitted of the obstruction charge in early 2009.

Happy February

Today is Tuesday 02/01/V3.1, the 32nd day of MMXI.

Well it started off with me saying its TOO early to be snowblowing. Although I didn’t know it was 07:00, a couple hours late, but that’s alright.

I got to work about 43 mins late, so that was alright. My ‘trainee’ had to survive all alone for that time. She did fine.

Did a little driving & scrapped about an 32 millimeters of ice off the windshield. The roads were(& are fine), there is a brake pedal. Just drive safe for conditions.

I had to scramble for lunch there was an issue.

Now I have to deal with the dinner issue.

I’m pretty sure there will be another blog entry tonight.
