I am writing you in refrence to a story I saw on DesMoinesRegister.com, http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070403/BUSINESS/70403054/1001

how do I comment on this issue I need the docket number, or whatever is necessary. I don’t want my voice to get lost in Washington.

Thanks for any help!!

The History of Irradiation

Removing the Irradiation notice from food packaging is a horrible idea. Irradiation has only been approved since 1963, but also not wildly used. In your own research though a FDAAMA joint statement you said people wanted more information, and honesty labeling. Why would you go against your own research, to pass such a rule? You stood up to the Grocery Manufacturers/Food Products Association in 1984, don’t sit down now. We the public should not have to worry about what is happening to our food. WE should be able to walk in the store, and be aware of what is happening to our food. Irradiation may not be inherently dangerous, but 40 years down the road I don’t want it to be the next lead paint.
